Guidelines for Submissions

0. Important

  • Articles must be original, not published elsewere.
  • Please do not submit ideas or editorial generated by AI. Submitting content created by someone or something else, as if it was your own, is plagiarism. Submissions found to be AI-generated will not be considered.

1. Length

  • Articles should be 800–1,200 words.

  • Shorter reflections (400–600 words) are also welcome, especially if they are personal, poetic, or story-led.

2. Style & Tone

  • Warm, authentic, and engaging — avoid academic jargon.

  • Write as if you are speaking to a thoughtful, curious friend.

  • Honest, vulnerable pieces are valued as much as expert insights.

3. Structure & Formatting

  • Submit as a Google Doc or Word file.

  • Headings: Use H2 for main sections and H3 for subsections.

  • Paragraphs: Keep them short (3–5 sentences).

  • Standfirst (summary): Add 1–2 sentences at the top that introduce the article.

  • Title: Capitalise only the first word (e.g. The healing power of touch).

  • Avoid bolding, underlining, or adding extra styling.

4. Evidence & Storytelling

  • If you’re making a claim, back it up with a reference, link, or anecdote.

  • Stories from personal experience are encouraged and powerful.

5. Images

  • Provide one lead image (landscape orientation).

  • Must be your own, or copyright-free (Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay, etc.).

  • Avoid stock-photo clichés; choose something evocative or symbolic.

6. Bio & Links

  • Include a short author bio (40–60 words).

  • You may include 1–2 links (e.g. website, Instagram, project page).

  • Please don’t submit with affiliate links or sales pages.

7. Submission

Email your idea or article to hello@myorgasms.com with:

  • Article attached as a doc or link as a google doc.

  • Lead image (or link to image source)
